In 2018 a bill (SB762-Barker) was introduced to formally add Licensed Behavior Analysts to the definition of Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. Here is a link to the law.
While this allows LBAs to broaden their practices as reimbursed by DMAS, it does NOT intend to change the practice act for behavior analysts. Other LMHPs do have diagnosis in their scope of practices, which LBAs do not. Also note, that LABAs were not included due to object
