According to the Board of Medicine’s January 2016 newsletter:
FEE REDUCTION FOR RENEWALS IN 2016-2017 In 2013, the Board of Medicine voted to reduce renewal fees by approximately 14% for all its professions renewing in 2014 and 2015. The Board’s revenues have kept pace with its expenses, such that another reduction can be made for the next biennium. On December 4, 2015, the Executive Committee of the Board voted to institute an approximate 20% reduction for all professions renewing in 2016 and 2017. This reduced renewal fee will be reflected in the amount you are asked to pay when you go online.
