Summer Volunteer Opportunity in Northern Jordan
Position: Volunteer Parent and Teacher Trainer for refugees and low-income Jordanians
Location: Northern Jordan
Cost: $1,500 + flights (fundraising support available)
Dates: July 1st-October 1st (volunteers must be available and on-site for the duration of the program)

A Global Voice for Autism is a non-profit organization that equips conflict-affected communities with the skills to support the development and success of children with autism and trauma-related behavioral challenges in their classrooms, homes and communities. We are looking for another volunteer to join our training program at our new site in Northern Jordan.
-Train teachers and families in the community (refugees and low-income Jordanians) in evidence-based practices for autism support and inclusive education
-Gain experience supporting children with autism who have trauma-related behavioral challenges and experience providing support in a new cultural setting
-Facilitate support and self-development programming for parents, teachers and autism siblings
-Participate in immersive cultural experiences in the local community
-Establish lifelong relationships with colleagues from around the world and make a difference in the lives of the children and families who need it most
-BCBA, BCaBA, RBT or BT with at least 2 years experience in the field
-Experience training parents or teachers in evidence-based practices for autism support
-Prior international experience is a plus
-Arabic knowledge is a plus
