I began in the field of ABA as an in-home ABA therapist while earning my B.S. in Psychology at George Mason University. I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology (Melbourne campus) and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2007. I am a Licensed Behavior Analyst by the Commonwealth of Virginia and a BACB®-approved Supervisor.
In 2011 I began my own agency providing in-home services to children and adolescents. Prior to that I worked at a private school for individuals with severe problem behaviors. Throughout my career I have enjoyed working with individuals seeking certification as I believe it not only keeps my skills and knowledge up but also opens my eyes to current needs of students.
In 2012 I was a BCBA representative for the Virginia Board of Medicine’s ABA Work Group, whose goal was to recommend regulations for the behavior analyst state license. I have been fortunate to hold the position of VABA Secretary from 2013-2015 and to be a part of the workgroup that developed VABA’s Supervision Resources page. Most recently I have been working with Old Dominion University as a Practicum Supervisor and have worked with George Mason University in the past.
In addition to enjoying the field of ABA, I love to cook, garden, kayak, and run around outside with my husband and two little kids!
