Founding Clinical Consultant (BCBA/LBA)
Part-Time | 1099 Independent Contractor | Remote
ThriveNest Behavioral Health is seeking a Virginia Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) to serve as our Founding Clinical Consultant during the startup phase of a new family-centered ABA practice in the Richmond, Virginia area.
This is a unique consulting opportunity for a BCBA who enjoys leadership, collaboration, and building systems. Rather than managing a traditional caseload, you’ll partner directly with the Founder to establish the clinical infrastructure needed to successfully launch the practice.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting organizational and provider credentialing with Virginia Medicaid and commercial insurance payers.
Developing and reviewing clinical policies, procedures, documentation, and workflows.
Advising on clinical compliance, quality assurance, and operational readiness.
Assisting with staffing strategy and supporting the transition to the permanent Clinical Director.
Qualifications:
Active BCBA certification.
Current Virginia Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Experience with credentialing, leadership, program development, or startup organizations is preferred but not required.
Exceptional out-of-state candidates willing to obtain a Virginia LBA prior to credentialing are encouraged to apply.
Compensation:
$85–$110/hour, based on experience.
Approximately 40–70 consulting hours over 2–4 months.
Flexible remote consulting arrangement.
Virginia LBA application fee reimbursement for qualified out-of-state candidates.
Eligibility for a completion/transition bonus upon successful completion of the consulting engagement.
