Celebrating Wendy Fitch

In honor of our 20th Anniversary, we found several people who were at the first VABA Conference (and therefore members) and who are members still today.  Our third honoree is Wendy Fitch.
In 2003, I was working as an administrator with a regional special education program. I actually participated in the poster session of the first conference. I became certified in 2004 and started a company in 2005 with center based and in home ABA therapy. In 2007, we started our first private day school. Today, I am the Executive Director of Plan Bee Academy, a private day school that opened it’s doors in 2015. Many lessons have been learned over the years with most coming from the children and families that I have worked with. When I became certified, it was the 4th task list and didn’t even include information in verbal behavior. Learning to adapt to the changes in society and how to use the principles of ABA accordingly is the most challenging yet the most exciting for me.
