DMAS is in the process of updating manuals, and has recently posted an updated Telehealth Manual that you can find here: Mental Health Services | MES (virginia.gov)
The manual includes 97151-8 (ABA) and 97139 (Therapeutic Consultation)
Please note that there are new billing instructions for telehealth on page 5, including the new modifiers you must use.
Many TC providers bill weekly or monthly only one line (not using modifiers). For the moment we have been told the following:
“Until DMAS issues additional guidance regarding telehealth and requirements, please continue to bill as usual.”
