Here is some important info from DMAS:
Virginia Premier will become part of Optima Health as of July 1, 2023. Members who have Virginia Premier as their Medicaid managed care health plan will receive information from Optima Health as their new managed care provider. The change will not impact members’ health benefits or coverage. However, per CMS requirements, the Virginia Premier dual-eligible special needs plan (DSNP) for members eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid will remain branded as Virginia Premier until December 31, 2023. Effective January 1, 2024, the Virginia Premier DSNP will end, and members will be transitioned to the Optima DSNP.
Members who are affected by this change have the right to choose a different health plan no later than September 30, 2023, by calling the managed care helpline at 1-800-643-2273, (TTY:1-800-817-6608) weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
